A visitor arrives

Mom flew in earlier today and we all went to the airport to pick her up. I met her at the entrance to the concourse (about as far as you can get these days with all the heightened security) and went with her down to baggage. It was real nice to see her and we are looking forward to spending a nice week with her, even though we all wish it could be longer. After getting her bags we went back out to the car where Tiffany and Kylie said there hellos and we headed off to find something to eat. We ended up eating at Bob Evans in Romulus, it was a nice meal. Afterwards, Tiffany and I still had some shopping to do in preparation for Kylie’s 1st birthday party this weekend, so we all took a trip to Sam’s Club to get a few things, and after that we all went to Cold Stone for some ice cream. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing and talking.

King Tutankhamun

Thanks to this article, I found out tonight that The Field Museum in Chicago is holding an exhibit containing nearly 120 items from the tomb of King Tutankhamun entitled Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs from May 26, 2006 through January 1, 2007. I am not sure as to why I am just now hearing about this, but man I wish I could go! I have always been interested in ancient Egyptian information, especially about the Pharaohs. I always watch all the shows on the history channel about them, even if I have already seen them. This would be so cool to go and see, it would be nice to make an extended weekend out of it and see Chicago too, but the museum would be the main focus for me. Perhaps I will be able to catch it when it goes to Philadelphia. *shrug*

Natural tooth loss

I have no idea how I find this stuff… But I found a site that graphical displays the loss of natural teeth by state (Adults aged 65+ who have had all their natural teeth extracted). It’s not really surprising to see what states fall near the top.
