Well Kylie is 16 days old today and what a busy day it has been. Slightly after midnight, after one of her normal nightly feedings, Mommy noticed that her umbilical cord had fallen off. This was rather fortunate as today was also her very first doctor’s visit. The doctor gave her a clean bill of health and even took care of finalizing the umbilical cord by cauterizing it with some silver nitrate. Kylie now weighs 10lbs 1 ounce and the doctor is happy with this 1lb 9 ounce gain. This was good news as Mommy had been worried that perhaps she was not getting enough food. There were a few other things that we had some questions about, but everything is normal and all is well. The next doctors visit is looking to be interesting as Kylie will be receiving some shots. So we will get to see how she reacts to a needle.

Crazy Law Suits
I have heard my fair share of extremely stupid lawsuits, and for the most part I was pretty shocked at the outcome of them. For instance, the woman a number of years back who successfully sued McDonald’s for their coffee being to hot after she dumped it in her lap (this would be why the cups now say the contents are hot). But now a Russian woman is suing NASA over the recent deep impact mission, which launched a probed directly into a comet. Now the woman is
seeking damages totaling $300 million, the approximate equivalent of the mission’s cost, for her “moral sufferings.”
She claims “that the experiment would “deform her horoscope.”
You have got to be kidding me!! This had better not even make it to court.
Ridin’ on a bus. Ridin’ on a bus.
Oh man! So I just found the Family Guy Multimedia Archivee and it has every song from Family Guy! Including Peter’s Theme Music! This is so sweet!
Ridin’ on a bus.
Ridin’ on a bus.
Sitin’ next to bums.
There’s an open seat.
Hope that isn’t pee.
Ah that song is the greatest.
A site update…wow
Upgraded to the new 1.5.1.3 version of WordPress, to adress the issues in 1.5.1.2. In addition I have also implemented a neat little plugin called “relative time.” As my reader may now notice not only is the time of the post shown, it also states just how long ago that was. The pluginis actually designed to just show the relative time, as in “Posted 1 hour ago” and such, but I liked the combination better. Any post over a month old will only give the date of the actual post. Not much else going on as far as site news goes, at least not for the blog. There are some other things going on, although slowly, with the non-blog site. My hope is still to eventually phase it out and only have the blog up. I just need to figure out how to incorporate certain aspects of the other site (ie – music) into the blog area. When that is acomplished it will be posted.
