More teeth

Tiffany informed me today that Kylie has gained 2 more teeth, bringing the grand total up to six. The two top ones to either side of her very front ones have finally dropped, as we have been waiting on them for at least a month now. I am hoping to see them for myself tomorrow as I did not get a chance to see her today.

On a somewhat unrelated topic (the connection is Kylie and will be apparent shortly) I saw 3 rainbows today while I was out running my numerous errands, and when I saw them I immediately thought of Kylie. I thought about how much I am looking forward to seeing a rainbow with her and how fun it will be to go out with her and see if we can find the end of it.

Heading out west

Now that the decision is final and plans are well into the last stages, I have decided to announce that I am getting a (temporary) promotion at work that will require me to relocate to Eagan Minnesota (Map). As of this writing it is not certain as to when I will be leaving as the dates have very recently changed, but I am either going to be out their on September 11 or 20, details are still being hammered out. I will be going out for at least 3 months with one trip back home per month being paid for by the company. I am really looking forward to this opportunity and hope that it helps me in furthering my career. There are a few downfalls to this trip and most are menial and just involve me missing certain events, but there is one very large one, and that is missed time with my daughter. I am hoping that she will be ok while I am gone and am certain that Tiffany will continue to tell Kylie that I love her and that I am only gone for a little while. I already plan on trying to call her and talk to her so she can at least hear my voice and know that I am thinking of her, the only problem is finding time while she is still awake, as I already know that I will have some very long days ahead of me. I am planning on bringing my camera with me and hope to find time to take some pictures to share with everyone. I will also try to continue to post on here while I am out there to keep everyone filled in on my status and what it is like out there. I am sure I will have more information to post later.

New Wheels

So yesterday I went in to the dealership to get an oil change, and when all was said and done I walked out with a new truck. It was a long day and an even longer story, but in the end I am happy with the truck I know have. I traded in my 2004 Dodge Ram for a 2006 Dodge Dakota quad cab 4×4 SLT (white). It is just a few more dollars a month than my Ram was, but a lot more truck. For starters this one is a quad cab, which means I can get Kylie’s car seat out of the front seat and into the back, which makes me feel much better. In addition the Dakota is a 4×4 as where the Ram was not, the Dakota also has power everything (windows, locks, driver seat) and remote keyless entry. This truck also has a number of other things that the Ram did not, including Sirius satellite radio, a six disc CD/MP3 changer in dash, a six speaker Alpine system, overhead console, and adjustable driver lumbar support. The gas milage is about the same as the Ram’s was at 15 mpg city and 19 mpg highway. As soon as I take some pictures I will post them up here so everyone can see it.
